Born in Manchester, Alex Davies is currently a Member of UK Youth Parliament for his hometown of Stockport. He was elected into his second term in February 2020, on an increased majority.
Alex is a keen campaigner and activist. Following the death of his father in 2016 to oesophageal cancer, he formed No Child Left Behind UK, a community interest company which aims to increase the support given to bereaved young people. This campaign has gained the support of 200+ youth representatives to date, most notably Sir Ed Davey (Acting Leader of the Liberal Democrats) and Angela Rayner (Deputy Leader of the Labour Party).
Alex has worked alongside multiple charities, most notably working for YoungMinds as a Strategic Youth Advisor.
In his spare time, Alex is a freelance event technician and lighting designer. He studies Event Production at Access Creative College.
